Green City Living started as one nurse & mother's quest to decrease her family's environmental impact with reusable sandwich bags that preserved the quality of the food they ate.

At Green City Living we bring green home with USA made products that are affordable, long lasting, and that really work. Our products are not only reusable, they are very usable.

Our BLOG: A Reusable Thread

A Reusable Thread is a blog written by Kathy Rohret, founder of Green City Living.  It's a place for her to share tips, challenges, cost saving tips, new products, and thoughtful reflections with other eco-heros in the making.

Introducing EcoBagIt! New name, same great products

Kathy Rohret

We've been busy rebranding our sandwich & snack bags to EcoBagIt!  Though our reusable sandwich bag products are one of the best available, we felt it was time.  The original SAV-UR-SAC! name was meant as a reminder for kids not to pitch them in the trash, but lets face it, there are some who can't get past another meaning.  Our company mission is to make reusable products a viable, convenient and durable alternative to disposable--to help shift more people towards living in a way that won't harm the environment and ultimately to keep the earth a habitable place.  Having our product name be an obstacle to use was counterproductive, so we removed this barrier.

Meanwhile, we've also been making cloth napkins to coordinate with more of our bags--they are 18" x 18" and made of a high grade 100% cotton cloth.  In addition, we will have more of our new & improved Green & Thirsty unpaper towel rolls completed and posted within the next few weeks.
