A Green City Living original! (As featured on Buzzfeed). We invented and started making The Bacon Sponge in 2014. It is a 100% organic cotton nonpaper towel for draining grease from fried food after cooking. It measures 12" x 11". It is now fully compostable/biodegradable!
YOU ASKED, WE LISTENED! We made the towel 35% bigger @ 14" x 13".
The towel absorbs 10 times it's weight in grease/liquids--anything you choose to use it for. It also absorbs 20 times faster than other fabrics do--and there are no bleaches or dyes to leach into your food.
After use, we recommend that it be soaked in hot water and a degreaser soap like Dawn® for 15-20 minute. It can be laundered with other towels after soaking. NOT FOR USE IN THE MICROWAVE.
